(G.K. Chesterton)
Serve as a Volunteer with the Chief Hayes’ Project through Ascent Church in Louisville. Over the past few years, we have helped those in need with general clean up, painting, tree trimming, etc.
Safety
I have served many communities in law enforcement/public safety roles in Colorado for 42 years. I have protected communities in both the City of Louisville and in the City of Boulder, and served as a Patrol Officer, Detective, Sergeant, Commander, Deputy Chief and Chief of Police. I have established and maintained strong community relationships everywhere I have worked. Public safety begins with Respect, Transparency, Accountability and Communication. I am a proven professional who has what it takes to help keep Boulder County a safe place.
Community
I lead by example, and I hold myself and others accountable to excellence. I have a proven record of principled, selfless dedication to the community, and would be humbled by your vote for Sheriff of Boulder County.
Quality of Life
I have dedicated my entire adult life to law enforcement and have extensive administrative and executive law enforcement experience. I am a servant leader who believes law enforcement is something done with the community, not to the community. I have a long-standing record of service to victims which are
evidenced in part by my work with the Domestic Abuse Prevention Project, a
2011 Distinguished Service Award for Extraordinary Efforts on Behalf of Victims
of Crimes from the Boulder County District Attorney’s Office, a 2003 Award of
Special Recognition from Boulder County Safehouse, a 1997 Award of Special
Recognition from Boulder County Safehouse, and a 1993 Distinguished Service
Award from the Boulder County District Attorney’s Office. I have built a successful career providing exceptional public safety service to
those who live, work, and visit Boulder County.
